A memorial service for Shelly Goodnight will be held on Monday, December 22 at 2p at First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach. You can read Shelly’s obituary HERE. It includes a nice mention of her long time connection to Christ by the Sea.

The memorial service for Billy Nye

December 7th at 1pm in the sanctuary

The memorial service for Billy Nye will be held in the sanctuary on Sunday, December 7th at 1p.  A reception with light refreshments will be held in Ratcliff Hall immediately following the service.

Bible Study

Bible Study this Wednesday, December 3rd at Noon. Join us each Wednesday as we study the Gospel of Matthew. We will be meeting in Ratcliff Hall so bring your lunch, we will provide drinks and dessert. You can also join us each week on Zoom through this link: CLICK HERE.

The Giving Tree

through December 7th.

The Giving Tree will be in the North Narthex through December 7th.  Please take one or more of the “ornament/tags” which are in the amounts of $25, $50 and $100.  This is one of Serve’s most important community outreaches every year.  We anticipate the number of  those in need will be greater than ever.  Gift cards of any kind can be purchased from a store or on Amazon.  Please place your Gift cards the special box by the tree or in the offering plate.  The recipients are children in need at Beachland Elementary (the teachers shop for their students) and the Veterans Council of IRC, with those cards being given directly to the veteran parents to shop for their families.  In addition, items will be collected for the local chapter of Safe Families for Children.  Pick up the list of items that are needed and place those gifts in wooden bin across from the tree.   Thank you for your support!

Poinsettias for the Holidays

Last day to order will be Dec. 7th.

The  2025 Poinsettia Campaign is also underway in the South Narthex every Sunday  through Sunday, December 7.  Look for the poster and envelopes.  Carla and Deb Hartz will be available for any questions.  Please place completed envelopes in the offering baskets or give them to Carla or Deb after worship on Sundays.   

 

Tuesday Morning Walks with Pastor Michael

Beginning November 4

take place every Tuesday morning (9:30am)  unless a holiday or notified otherwise.  Please meet by the church playground on GreyTwig Road.  We will enjoy a walk together to Jaycee Park, take time for prayer and reflection and then head back.

Operation Christmas Child/Samaritan’s Purse

The Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are on their way to the distribution center for shipment to children around the world.  And, in our own community, your donation of   269 cans of Tomato or Chicken Noodle is now making Monday evening meals heartier for the families in need at the Catholic Charities campus off 41st Street.  Thank you for your generosity!

Sunday worship at Christ by the Sea is a time to connect with God and one another in a welcoming and uplifting environment. Each service includes cherished hymns that unite us in worship, the Apostles’ Creed for reflection, and pastoral prayer to inspire peace. Communion, offered twice a month, adds a sacred moment of grace, while the friendly atmosphere fosters a deeper connection with the community.
